My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Maya Vista, in Tela. It is a very unique hotel, and the rooms and dining room have a fantastic view of the Caribbean Sea. In fact, we could lie in bed and look through our glass doors at the ocean! The food is also great, though rather expensive. The staff were very helpful. I’d recommend staying here.
The hotel sits on top a small hill and has arguably the best view of Tela bay. The staff is super friendly and the owner, who is Canadian, loves Honduras very much.
Great View! Spent a long weekend there, the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great, it’s about 2 blocks from the beach. It’s on a hill so you have a GREAT view of Tela and the ocean, it also means some steps. Air conditioning worked, hot water worked, no complaints. My wife and I were very happy there.
The room was very comfortable and roomy. The pool was great and the view was amazing!!! All the food was fantastic. From the great dinner of ribeye and shrimp after arriving, to the toast on the first morning, the omlet the next morning, to the final meal before we returned home was a great lunch of a hamburger and chicken sandwich. Couldn’t of asked for a better place to enjoy our mini vacation. Jeremy
Stayed her for 2 nights whilst visiting our daughter who is working at the local bi-lingual school for a year. Staff very helpful, room spotless, great breakfast. Located just outside the main centre with great roof top views. Would stay here again. They let us use the spare bed for our daughter as we arrived late and saved her from going back to where she lives. They let us use the bed for free and even gave her a free breakfast the following morning. Darren
